As part of the Bouquets to Art event, local florists could participate by choosing a work of art from the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and interpret it in flowers. The creation is then displayed next to its inspiration during the event.

This work of art featuring a spiders web was chosen by J's friend Regula Allenspach Weill, AIFD.

Fantastic, isn't it! Another image follows and then the description.

This description gives a fascinating look into the process.

Another friend of J's, Katsuko Theilke, created this set, shown partially here and more completely below. Amazing, intricate work.

Following is just a small sampling of the exhibit. Many unique and beautiful creations in flowers. Unfortunately, it was very difficult to get good images of the artwork that inspired these works, however all of the creations are certainly enjoyable in their own right.

Inside, though hard to see in these images, a ball of flowers has

been suspended as a pendulum.

You probably have guessed that the above was inspired by

the artwork of Monet.

Part Three takes us into J's performance - just a click away.
